Voith IPC Internal Gear Pump

The low noise and high volumetric efficieny of the Voith IPC gear pumps is made possible by the use of the internal gear principle, combined with plain bearings, sealing gap compensation (radial and axial), and involute gearing. These design features create a gear pump useable in variable-speed drives that is efficient, has very low flow pulsation and pressure pulsation, great suction capabilities, operates with a wide range of viscosities at a wide range of speeds, and can be driven by a motor. Combined pumps are available. Compact footprint, light weight, energy recovery and easy maintenance describe the Voith IPC gear pump.

Voith internal gear pump operation:

Rotation of gears in the pump draws hydraulic oil into the void between the pinion and the internal gear. The gears ensure superior intake. Radially, the gear chambers seal by meshing of the gear and the filler piece. Axially, the axial plates allow minimum possible gap to seal the pressure chamber, minimizing volume losses and increasing efficiency. As the gears rotate, the pinion teeth fill the gaps in the internal gear teeth and displace pressure fluid.

Pump Combinations:

Dual and multi-flow systems can be created by combining IPC pumps. Combinations with other Voith Turbo
pumps are also possible.
