Like the Voith IPC pumps, the pumps internal gears pull pressure fluid (usually a wide range of viscosities of hydraulic oil) into the chamber between the gear and pinion. Two gears ensure proper intake. Pressure fluid is displaced when the gears rotate and the gear teeth enter the spaces between the teeth.
